INFORMATION
Outer Banks Weather

The proximity to the Gulf Stream to the Outer Banks, allows the barrier islands to enjoy the most temperate year 'round climate north of Florida.

The Cape Hatteras water temperatures can be as much as 10° higher than the areas to the north such as Nags Head and Duck. Pristine sand dunes topped by golden sea oats and the dogleg shape of Hatteras Island shelters the beach from the wind unless the wind is coming from the SE to due E.
